【奈良県特産地鶏】究極の鶏、大和にあり奈良県は大正末期から昭和初期にかけて肉鶏飼育が盛んに行われ全国的にも有名な鶏肉の産地でした。奈良県の「大和かしわ」といえば食通をうならせる美味しい鶏と高く評価されていましたが戦後の社会事情とブロイラーの輸入とともにその生産は衰退いたしました。しかし、かつての歯ごたえと旨みのある鶏肉に対するニーズが高まり「大和かしわ」を復活させるプロジェクトが発足。名古屋種、ニューハンプシャー種、しゃもの三種をかけ合わせ度重なる品種改良を経て、昭和五七年に全国に先駆けて奈良県の地鶏「大和肉鶏」が誕生しました。

"Yamato Kashiwa" from Nara was highly regarded for its delicious taste, impressing food enthusiasts. However, production declined due to post-war social circumstances and the import of broilers. Recently, the demand for chicken with the same texture and flavor as before has risen, leading to the launch of a project to revive "Yamato Kashiwa."
