名古屋市営地下鉄・金山駅の北徒歩3分。少しだけ細い路地に入ったところにある居酒屋さんでプチ宴会を行ないました。
雰囲気はよくある居酒屋さんですが、店名から想像するようなオヤジ臭さはなく、どちらかと言うと洒落た部類。でも、オヤジばかりで入ったからといって浮いてしまうようなこともない、絶妙な居心地の良さが魅力です。
オーナーの実家が三河湾の離島・日間賀島の漁師さんということで、日間賀島の新鮮な魚介がウリ。メニューにも日間賀島メニューが載っているので先ずはそこからと思ったのですが、運悪く天候の関係で船が出せず、日間賀島メニューはほぼクローズ状態という残念なタイミングに当たってしまいました。
ただし、一番お目当てのゆでだこだけは日間賀島メニューで唯一用意出来るとのことで、この日のプチ宴会はゆでだこから始まることになりました。
大きな皿にドンッと盛られたゆでだこの迫力はナカナカのもの。丸ごと一羽というわけではありませんが、タコ自体が大きいので半身の脚だけでも、結構な大きさがあります。
ハサミで切り分け、大きな塊を口に放り込むとコレがメチャウマ!
柔らかくて食べ応えのあるタコのブツ切りには、信じられないくらいの旨味が詰まっていました。
日間賀島メニュー以外も隅に置けない料理ばかり。その中でも特に印象に残ったのはスモークさんまでしょうか。スモークにすると食材の旨味が一層引き出されることはよく知られていますが、さんまとスモークの相性ががこれほど良いとは思いませんでした。
地元の酒を中心に日本酒の種類も豊富で、食べ物も飲み物も大いに満足。気楽に使えるおやじダイニングです。
