釧路1泊2日の旅、2日目の朝。まずは朝ごはんとしてホテルの朝食を蹴ってでも釧路グルメを堪能したいグルマーにとって朝ごはん候補は2つ!釧路食べログNo.1の炉ばた焼きのここ「鮭番屋」か釧路の台所「和商市場」の勝手丼が候補に乗るも日曜日は和商市場が定休日‼と言うことで自動的に鮭番屋に決定。鮭番屋は8時半から営業開始で9時前に到着。
炉ばた焼きの魚介類はお土産も売っているお店に置いてあって、そこで食べたいものを購入してから焼き場のある建物に移動するシステムのようだ。まずは食材選びする。干物などの魚類が20種類程、肉類で10種類弱、別館にある活貝類で3種類程選べる。この中から5種類選んで先会計。購入した食材を持って焼き場に行くと案内と焼きをやってくれるベテランのおじさんがいるのでその指示に従い席に着く。焼き場は広々していて網焼き席が20テーブル以上あるも日曜日朝9時頃では4テーブルほどのお客と空いている。
今回オーダーしたのは…
①活ほっき350円…まず最初に食べ頃になったのは活ほっき貝で、ピンク色になったときが食べとき‼このほっき貝も焼き手が食べやすいようカット。生で食べても美味しいくらいなので焼き煮て食べたら甘くてやわらかい。これで350円は安い♪
②氷塩サンマ250円…旬ではないけど釧路来たら食べたくなるのがサンマ‼少し時間はかかるけど、いい感じに焼き上がると最後はおじさんがハサミでチョキチョキ‼食べやすいようにしてくれる。最後は骨だけもう一度カラッカラになるまで焼いたら全て残すとこなく全部食べれたのに少し感動‼
③新物時鮭甘塩700円…これも北海道ならではの時鮭の炉端は一切れだけど大きめ。皮側から焼き初めていい感じになってきたら身を焼き上げ仕上げに。朝ごはんにピッタリな1品で美味しかった。
④豚タン串160円…魚ばかりなので頼んでみました。
4種類の物を頼みました。頼んだものはお店の銀皿に乗せて焼き専門のおじさんに預けると勝手に焼いてくれるので後は食べ頃になるまで待つだけ♪焼き方も一番美味しく焼けるようにしてくれるし、焼き上がり後は食べやすいように全てカットまでしてくれる。今回は次のお店も予定があったのでご飯ものは食べなかったけど白飯や味噌汁、海鮮丼もあり釧路の朝食や昼食におすすめです。
