2015年7月
初めてフロアで食事をしてきました。
窓際にカウンターがあって、景色を楽しみながら食事ができます。サービス料が個室は15%ですがこちらは10%とわずかにお値打ちなのと、個室は料理が一番安くても税サービス込み2万5千円からなのに対し、フロアは1万5千円からあります。
料理はもちろん美味しいですし、なんといっても季節感がほかの店とは全然違います。名古屋の日本料理では別格のお店だと思います。
P.S.
一時期格安で食べられたお昼の松花堂弁当が、5000円から7500円に値上げされていました。最低でも税サービス込みで一万円弱と、名古屋はいよいよ景気が回復してきたようです!

2013年5月
久しぶりに掘りごたつの個室で食事をしてきました。五月は菖蒲ですね。一番安いコースですが、それでも2万円弱です。ただし食前食中食後の満足感で、一人二万円の支払いが惜しいとは感じません。
この店は名古屋の日本料理店では別格です。京都まで行けば、嵐山本店はもちろん、雰囲気でも味でもさらに上と感じる店があるので、比較すると本来ならこちらの☆は4.0ですが、地元贔屓点を0.5足して☆4.5にしました。

2010年6月
この日は二人での予約でしたが、北側名古屋城側と、東側中心部方面を両方見下ろせる、北東角の掘りごたつの広い部屋を取って頂いた上に、女将さんがずっと付いてくださったので、素晴らしい経験をする事が出来ました。
「吉兆」と名前の付いた店は全国沢山ありますが、こちらは創業80年、京都の嵐山吉兆三代目社長の妹さんが女将をされているお店だそうです。大阪の例の問題も含め、いろいろと貴重なお話を聞かせてもらえました。
当日は写真の様に快晴でしたが、春~秋の18時頃に食事を始めると、ちょうどマジックアワーからネオンの夜景まで食事をしながら刻々と変わって行く眺望全てを楽しめます。
ミッドランドの41-42階のレストランフロアは、開店当初かなりの高級路線を取っていてミシュラン三つ星の「オーベルジュ・ド・リル」や、「エノテカ・ピンキオーリ」、「福臨門」、や「嵐山吉兆」など、普通に5万円くらいするお店が並んでいて、ランチも1万円以上でしたが、不況に合わせてかなり値下げ?をして、ランチは3000-5000円で、ディナーも一万円台のお値打ちメニューがあって、接待以外でもかなり使い易くなりました。
京都の本店に行けば素晴らしい建物とお庭を楽しめるとは言え、二人で10万円以上することを考えれば、この眺望でこの値段はかなり名古屋的お値打ち路線と言えるかもしれません。またメタボで座敷がつらくなった方々も、嵐山には無い掘りごたつ席が用意されているので、余裕を持って食事できるのもメリットかもしれません。
料理は当然本格的懐石料理で美味しいですし、月替わりで楽しめますし、器も良い物ありますし、八寸で使っていた切り子なども手彫りで彫りが非常に深い良いグラスだったし・・・ううんいいなあ。
P.S.
京都で二万円台の予算だと、私は「阪川」や「緒方」を思い浮かべますが、味を比較するよりも何より、鱧のお椀、屋形船の造り、蛍箱の八寸、稚鮎の炭焼き、鱸の炊き込みご飯と茶漬け・・・と水無月の旬と走りを目と舌で楽しませてもらえたのが嬉しかったです。だいたい「名古屋」で本格的懐石料理を味わえるのがそもそも嬉しいですし、北東の部屋の眺望は洞爺湖の「ミシェルブラス」程ではないにしても、眺望代を付けても良い位ですし、とにかく総合的に「お値打ち」と言いたくなります。今後はもう、三万円以上する名古屋の「匠」に行く事はなくなりそうです。
P.S.2
北東の小部屋は、今回はたまたま小部屋として使いましたが、真ん中の畳を外して、中部屋や大部屋として使う事もあり、通常予約で指定することは出来ないそうです(T_T)。
